“Knit Your Bit” Knit Your Bit
Like the WWII soldiers, the servicemen in Afghanistan still need home knitted items to keep warm during sub-zero nights.

Join the Burlington Public Library Sit and Stitch group to knit “Wooly Pulleys” (helmet liners) for our soldiers. Meets every 4th Thursday, 9 - 11 a.m. DMC Heritage Center Classroom Questions? - Call 752-7449

Hawkeye Log Cabin Centennial Celebration

It’s an all day celebration by the cabin in Crapo Park.
June 26th 10 am to 4 pm Blacksmith! Baby Animals! Food!
Learn to play Cricket! Games! Music! Dutch Oven Cookin’,
Candle Dippin’, Doll Makin’ and a lot more fun!
This event is to help raise funds to repair the Hawkeye Log Cabin.

Please, help save the Hawkeye Log Cabin.
The Log cabin is now 100 years old and in need of some repairs. We
are raising the funds by having a celebration on June 26th at the
cabin. (see our Home Page)

We hope to have 1000 guests - we need MANY
helpers to direct traffic, sell water, set up, clean up, teach crafts,
watch the animals, play games, talk about history and SMILE!
If you can help us for 2 hours that day - please call Kelly or Suzanne
at the Heritage Center.
